After successfully visually archiving Efteling’s iconic Spookslot attraction, we created a brand new campaign for its spiritual successor: Danse Macabre.
This project took month of preparation, as well as three days on-location photography.
Clearing out the rental house of Profoto packs, we lit both in and outside of the attraction for two key images and several detail images of details and a portrait of its ghostly conductor. We took great care in matching the original light colours and vibe of Spookslot as well as staying true to the identity of the new attraction.
We delivered the files in extremely high resolution giving ultimate flexibility in creating all possible deliverables.
The visuals saw a wide international roll-out including OOH on trams, bus stops and train stations, as well as partnerships with media and more.
A three-tiered series of key arts where we wanted to connect the train journey to the experience in the park that's located inside of Antwerp Central train station.
This was a rather challenging but fun shoot where we had to exactly match the scale and angles from all the different elements. These included live-action shots, clean plates, 3D environments and licensed elements.
Selected Tear Sheets
This was a challenging but insanely fun project to create from start to finish for Plopsaland De Panne.
We started with conceptualising the image, creating a full virtual pre-visualisation with 3D scanned characters. We took all that information and calculated the positions of every character in a full day studio-shoot so all perspective would match 1:1 with the rest of the elements.
My retoucher then combined all photographed elements with the 3D modelled bikes and created a visual that’s big enough to adorn the entrance billboard of the park.
